CONGRATULATIONS to the LMVSC Patriots U-14 Girls, coached by Mike Rodgers, who won the Classic division of the PWSI Icebreaker tournament on March 30. The girls won three matches and drew one, scoring eight times while allowing only two goals.

CONGRATULATIONS! The LMVSC U-13 Girls coached by Marianna Sullivan and Brian O'Dell won the White Division of the 2008 Prince William Icebreaker. The girls won all three preliminary games with 7 goals for and 0 goals against -- 3 shutouts. The Championship win was a 5-0 shutout of the Metro Black Magic from Massachussetts. We look forward to a challenging season in WAGS D2.

Congratulations to the LMVSC U-10 boys who won the 2008 Capitol Cup Tournament hosted by Freestate Soccer Club. The boys are coached by Jane Gallant and Dio Bustamante. The boys advanced to the finals after a penalty kick shootout and won the final game against the Freestate Strikers 2-1.

CONGRATULATIONS to the LMVSC Patriots U-13 Girls, coached by Marianna Sullivan and Brian O'Dell. The U-13s were finalists in the George Mason Tournament on March 22. The girls played the final match into two exciting overtime periods and were beaten only in PKs.

CONGRATULATIONS to the LMVSC U-13 Girls as Co-champions of the Aug 2007 Busch Gardens Soccer Classic hosted by the Newport News Soccer Club. The Patriots, coached by Marianna Sullivan and Brian O'Dell, were undefeated over 4 games with 9 goals for and only 1 against (and that was an inadvertent own goal). With the final game tied at 1-1, thunder and lightning chased the teams from the field preventing completion.

CONGRATULATIONS to the LMVSC U-14 Boys, Champions of the Columbus Day Virginia Beach FC tournament, red division. The Patriots, coached by Tony Damiani and Salvador Benitez and trained by Ahmad Saksouk, defeated RHEEMS FC RHEEMS UNITED (PAE) 3-1 to win the tournament --- but the most exciting game was the semi-final against an NCSL division competitor, the Arlington Generals. After regulation time, two overtimes, and penalty kicks, the game was still tied. The Patriots netted the next PK and blocked the Generals next kick to win the semi-final. Look at those smiling faces!

CONGRATULATIONS to the U-14 Patriots coached by Lula Bauer, Champions in the Premier division of the 2007 Cardinal Cup. The girls won every game, scoring 10 goals and allowing only 1 (that's right, three shutouts!) The tournament culminated in a 1:0 victory over Loudon Black.

CONGRATULATIONS to the U-19 Patriots --- coached by Bryan Dierkes and managed by Steve Williams, the girls were Finalists in the PWSI Toys for Tots Tournament 2007. The high scoring Patriots (12 goals) were undefeated in their bracket and won a tough semi-final match Monday morning to advance to the championship later that morning. The team battled valiantly against the heat and a depleted bench, falling 2-1 in the final match.

The girls' only defeat came in a hard fought and exciting championship match. The Patriots are coached by Mike Morris and Jim Stein.

CONGRATULATIONS to the U-11 Hawks, champions of the Gold division in the 2007 Virginian Soccer Tournament. The boys scored 17 goals and allowed only 2 over the weekend, finishing with a three-to-nil shutout in the final. The Hawks are coached by Ken Patterson and David Camara.

On March 4, 2007, the U-12 Patriots, coached by Marianna Sullivan and Brian O'Dell, won their bracket in the Winter Futsal League Tournament by going undefeated over 4 games.



The LMVSC U-13 Boys, coached by Tony Damiani, won the Virginia Futsal State Cup last night. They will travel to the Regional State Cup competition in PA over President's Day weekend. Congratulations Patriots and good luck!

CONGRATULATIONS to the U-9 Boys Arsenal - Finalist 2006 Hunt Country Classic. They went undefeated in their flight of the Elite Division, resulting in an all LMVSC final game where the Patriots defeated the Arsenal 4-1.

The U-12 Girls, Patriots 94 were victorious at McSoccerfest 2006, finishing as champions in their division. They will go on to compete in the Sports Illustrated Kick tournament in East Brunswick, NJ on August 19th and 20th. The Patriots 94 are coached by Lisa Alaoui, Brian O'Dell and Jessica Smat.

On Sunday August 27 2006, LMVSC's U-10 boys Patriots, coached by Ivana Bulirova and Tony Damiani, defended successfully their 2005 championship title at the Premier division of the Dulles National Tournament. During the two-day tourney, the young Patriots had four wins and no losses, with a total goal score of 20:6.

LMVSC's Crossing-Over boys, coached by Jane Gallant and Rick Sweeney, were finalists in the Jetix tournament. They won their first three games by scores of 10-2, 12-1, and 5-0, losing only the championship match in a hard-fought 2-4 contest.

On Sunday 19 March 2006, LMVSC's U-9 boys Patriots, coached by Ivana Bulirova and Tony Damiani, continued their winning streak by capturing the first place title in the 12th Annual Stafford Soccer Club's St. Patrick's Day Tournament. Patriots forward Chris Cardenas scored the only goal with a powerful volley into the corner of the net to clinch the title in the opening of the second half during the hotly-contested 1-0 championship match against the Fredericksburg Area Soccer Association (FASA) Hotspurs. During the two-day tourney, the young Patriots proved unstoppable with four wins and no losses! They also went undefeated in winter session at the Fairfax SportsPlex, winning the indoor championship.

The LMVSC U-12 girls coached by Mike Rodgers won their bracket in the PWSI Icebreaker on March 25 & 26. Two shutouts on the first day ensured their place in the championship match, with both game-winning goals coming from Beth Rodgers. Kaylee Taillon scored in the third minute to start the final match, but the SYC Monsoon tied it in the fortieth. The girls continued their equal play for the rest of regulation and ten minutes of overtime to reach the PK shootout. Jennifer Schless, Karli Stamper, Rebecca Huber and Jessie Knowles all made their shots for the Patriots, while Frankie Stimmell blocked one and caught one to claim the victory.

The LMVSC U-10 girls coached by Michelle Dierkes were finalists in the PWSI Icebreaker. They won all three of their preliminary matches and fought hard in the championship match against Frederick Academy Royals.

The LMVSC U-15 girls coached by Sean Burke were champions in the "north" flight of the St. Patrick's Day Stafford, winning all four matches without allowing a single goal. They defeated the MCLN Phoenix 3:0 in the final.
                               













The LMVSC U-19 girls coached by Lula Bauer were champions in the Cup bracket of the PWSI Icebreaker on March 25 & 26. Two victories and a draw during the preliminary matches were enough to get them into the final match, in which they defeated the MCSA Jr. Majestics-Twisters 2:1.
