Past TournamentsWe participated in the Baltimore March Madness 2006 tournament the weekend of March 25-26, 2006. We lost our first game, to the eventual Champions, 5-1, and our second game 0-3. On Sunday, we tied our consolation game, 0-0.
During the weekend of March 18-19, 2006, we participated in Stafford Soccer Club's 12th Annual St. Patrick's Day Tournament. On Saturday, we won our first game 1-0, but lost our second game 1-2. That was enough to send us to the Semifinal game Sunday morning. With the Semifnial score tied 1-1, we went through two scoreless overtime periods before losing on penalty kicks, 0-1.
The Total Sports Pavilion indoor tournament took place on January 16, 2006. Though we were U-13, we played in the U-14 division, splitting into two teams to allow maximum playing time. Though one of our teams failed to advance to the semifinals, the other team went all the way, winning the Championship Game over a team that beat them earlier in the day.
We participated in the Thunder Fall Bash 2005 the weekend of November 12-13, 2005. Though we ended up with a 3-1 victory in the first game, we came out of it with several injuries. We were unable to overcome the illness and injuries and lost our second game 0-2, sending us to the second place consolation game, which we won 2-1.
Special thanks to the folks at the Dulles National Soccer Tournament for not cancelling in the face of a good deal of rain the morning of Saturday, August 27, 2005. We won both of our preliminary round games by scores of 3-0 and 3-2, sending us to the semifinals on Sunday, August 28. However, we would not continue the winning streak and lost 0-2.
During Memorial Day Weekend, May 28-29, 2005, we participated in The Virginian. Both the weather and fields were perfect. We tied our first game 1-1, won our second game 3-2, and tied our third game 2-2. One win and two ties were not enough, so we found ourselves in a consolation game, which we won 1-0.
On January 17, 2005, we participated in the 4th Annual DC United MLK Dream Cup. We won the first game by a score of 5-4. Unfortunately, we lost the second game 3-5 and third game 4-10, giving us third place and an early trip home.
It was a very cold weekend, November 13-14, 2004, at the Thunder Fall Bash 2004. The Saturday games were cut to thirty minutes due to soggy fields. We won both by scores of 1-0 and 2-0, which sent us to the semifinals Sunday morning. We lost the semifinal game 1-4.
We traveled to Virginia Beach the weekend of October 9-10, 2004, to participate in Beach FC's Columbus Day Soccer Tournament. Unfortunately, we lost both games on Saturday, by scores of 0-1 and 1-2, to send us to the consolation game on Sunday. We did not play well that game and lost it as well 2-5.
The Dulles National Soccer Tournament was held the weekend of August 28-29, 2004, in Herndon, Vriginia. We came out of our group in first place with a 3-0 record, winning with scores of 1-0, 6-3, and 3-1. We were defeated in the Championship Game by a score of 1-2.
During the weekend of June 26-27, 2004, we participated in the LSC Summer's Here! Tournament, playing up in the U-12 division. We finished in first place in our bracket by winning our first game 4-0 and tying our second game 1-1. We won our semifinal game by a score of 4-0 to move on to the Championship Game. Our opponent was the team we tied the day before, but this time we were ready, earning the title of Champion by a score of 7-1. We ourscored our opponents, some a year older, by 14 goals, scoring 16 while allowing only 2.
We participated in the 5th Annual FC Delco Players Cup in Downington, PA, May 28-31, 2004. Once again, our performance suffered and we lost both games on Saturday, 0-3 and 2-4. Sunday proved no better for us as we lost our game 1-3 giving us an 0-3 record.
After coming off a great performance the previous week, see below, we failed in our attempt to defend our title at the 2004 Jefferson Cup which took place March 20-21, 2004. Tying our first game 1-1 and losing our second 0-3 on Saturday sent us to Sunday's consolation game. Though we played better than the day before, our performance was still well below our standard and we lost 0-1. This was quite a lesson in humility and hopefully we learned well from it!
Stafford Soccer Club's 11th Annual St. Patrick's Day Tournament was held the weekend of March 13-14, 2004. We opened the tournament with a 6-0 win and defeated our second opponenent by a score of 4-2. Tying our third game 1-1 was enough to send us into the Championship Game. Down 1-0 for most of the Championship Game, we scored the tying goal in the final seconds to send it into overtime. After two scoreless five-minute golden goal periods, we advanced to penalty kicks. Both teams scored their first four penalty kicks. Our goalkeeper made a tremendous save on what would be our opponent's final opportunity as we scored all five to claim the Championship!
The Total Sports Pavilion U-11 Indoor Tournament was held on Friday, January 2, 2004. We came out of our bracket in first place with a 3-0 record to advance to the Championship Game, with scores of 8-1, 7-0, and 7-0. In the Championship Game, we faced the undefeated winner from the other bracket and beat them by a score of 4-1 to claim our second tournament Championship of the week!
The Total Sports Pavilion U-12 Indoor Tournament was held on Monday, December 29, 2003. As the only U-11 team, we finished in second place in the division with a 3-1 record, winning our first two games 5-4 and 6-1 respectively. We lost our third game 2-4 and needed to win the fourth game, which we did by a score of 4-2, to make it into the Championship Game. Our opponent in the Final was the team that beat us earlier that day. At the end of regulation in the Championship Game, the score was tied 3-3. We played through a scoreless five minute overtime period, and ended up taking penalty kicks to determine the winner. After the first five PKs, we were tied 2-2. The next two players from both teams missed their penalty kicks. Finally, we put in our eighth penalty kick, and our keeper saved their potential tying kick to give us the Championship. It was a very exiciting game!
We successfully defended our title in the Mid-County Fall Classic 2003 tournament Saturday, November 22, and Sunday, November 23, 2003. With a goal differential of 8-1, we finished top in our bracket of round-robin play with a 4-0 record to claim the Championship. The scores for our four games, in order, were: 3-0, 2-0, 1-0, and 2-1.
The Beach FC Columbus Day Soccer Tournament took place Saturday, October 11, and Sunday, October 12, 2003, in Virgnia Beach. We failed to reach the playoffs, finishing with a 1-2 record. Our first game was a 2-0 loss, the second game was a 2-1 victory, and our final game was a 6-1 loss.
The Dulles National Soccer Tournament was held during the weekend of August 23-24, 2003. This was our first official 11v11 tournament. We did not fare very well, losing both games on the first day by scores of 4-0 and 2-0. We scored our first and only goal of the tournament during the Third Place Consolation Game on Sunday, ending, appropriately, with a score of 1 to 1.
Loudoun Soccer Club held their 25th Ice Breaker Tournament the weekend of March 29-30, 2003. Our first game was played in a downpour. Even though the players got soaked, we came out on top by a score of 2-1. Our second game, on the same day, was played under the sun, and though the score was only 1-0 at halftime, we ended up with a 4-0 victory. Winning those two games gave us first place in our bracket, granting a slot in the semifinal game to be played the next day. Unfortunately, heavy rain Saturday and snow on Sunday cancelled the semifinal and final games. We were awarded the Championship based on tie breakers.
The 23rd annual Jefferson Cup took place in Richmond, Virginia, March 15-16, 2003. We came out of our bracket 1-1, tied for first place, after winning our first game 4-0 and losing our second game 0-3. Tiebreakers placed us second in our bracket, giving us a spot in the semifinal game, which we won 4-2, to advance to the Championship Game. The Championship Game was a tough one against the team that beat us 3-0 the previous day. Fortunately, we were up to the challenge and emerged as Champions by score of 1-0.
The LMVSA Futsal Tournament was held on Saturday,
March 1, 2003. Each team played three games. After three games, the
team with the most points was crowned Champion. We won our first game
5-1, our second game 2-0, and our third game 4-0. With nine points (three
awarded for each win, one for each tie) we earned the Championship.
The 7th annual Prince William Soccer Labor Day Invitational 2002 tournament, in support of Toys for Tots, took place August 31-September 1, 2002. We won the division with a 2-0 record winning the first game 4-1 and the second 8-0. We played in the semi-final game and won with a score of 2-0 to advance to the finals. The Championship was a hard fought game in the cold, rainy weather and it ended in a 0-0 tie. The winner was determined by penalty kicks with both goalkeepers making some great saves. Unfortunately, our opponent tallied more PKs to earn the title of Champions.
The LSC Father's Day Tournament took place June 15-16, 2002. We won our division with a 2-0 record and won the semi-final game with a score of 5-0 to advance to the finals. We won the game with a score of 4-1 to become the U-9 Champions. We outscored our opponents 25-1.
We played in The Virginian Tournament Memorial weekend, May 25-27, 2002, finishing with a record of 1-3. We won our first game 5-3, coming back from a 0-3 deficit. In our second game, we had a 2-0 halftime lead but ended up losing 2-3. We lost our third game 4-5. We finished third in our division and lost our consolation game 2-3.
The George Mason University Indoor Mens Soccer

by penalty kicks. We came up short and finished as finalists.

The Dulles National Tournament, hosted by Herndon
Youth Soccer, was held August 25-26, 2001. We finished 2-0-1, tied
for first in our bracket. Unfortunately we came up short in bonus
points and missed the Championship Game. |
